Windows 10 - end of life

Microsoft have announced that Windows 10 is reaching its “end of life” in October 2025. What does this mean for you and your business?

What's happening on the 14th october?

Unfortunately, it’s not a party! In case you’ve missed it, Windows 10 will reach ‘end of life’ in October. This doesn’t mean your laptop running Windows 10 will stop working, but it does mean you’ll stop receiving security updates. This puts your data at risk as without updates, any known security flaws won’t be patched – leaving your defences down and you open to phishing and ransomware attacks, alongside the usual bugs that effect your system over time.

Microsoft will also stop offering support for Windows 10, so if you encounter any issues with your operating system, you won’t be able to rely on the official channels for help.

We wrote a blog about it HERE
