Windows 11 Warning…

Almost 70% of business close following an incident of data loss, yet backup and disaster recovery planning is often put on the back burner or seen as a cost center.

WORRIED ABOUT THE WINDOWS 11 BUG? DON’T WORRY, WE’RE HERE TO HELP.

It has become apparent that the latest version of Windows 11 is breaking some PCs. The new bug is infiltrating key apps including Office.

At VMhosts we take pride in providing our customers with the latest news, so you are informed of every step in your IT journey. If you are currently using Windows 11, please be aware of a bug which may be affecting your PC after a system restore has been performed.

An error message will pop up saying ‘This app can’t open’ with some core Windows applications. You will only see this message after reverting your PC to a past system restore point. It is also hitting some apps which use the MSIX Windows package format.

These apps include Notepad, Paint, Microsoft Office, Cortana, Terminal and potentially Microsoft Observes.

You may also experience other glitches including an I/O error followed by the app freezing and then crashing. An affected app program may fail to work also when you double-click to start it.

Need our help to get rid of this bug on your PC? Our experienced team can offer you top-end solutions where we can discuss your security, cloud backup services and much more.

If you would like help or advice with anything in this blog post, we’re more than happy to help.
